From Cositas, these fun little traditional drumming and hopping toys called "Bomba Friends" are one of our favorite discoveries! They have a wonderful vintage quality because neither the design, nor the faces have been altered since the 40’s! They are made of flour-based latex, are soft and rubbery, and are each carefully hand painted. Squeeze the ball-pump to make them hop across the floor, or drum on their tiny drum ! Both kids and adults are helplessly drawn to them! Here is what Cositas Brand their company has to say about them: “ Bomba Friends have been made by one family workshop in Mexico since 1945. Production has never stopped or changed!The flour-based latex is mixed by hand, poured into the molds, and the toys are set out to sun-dry. Once they have dried,they are taken inside where their seams are hand-sanded, and they are fitted with their little arms, valves and pumps , which have been made in separate plaster molds.Finally, Bomba Friends are carefully hand painted and fitted with their candy-colored drums, brass bells, shiny metal collars and tiny dog bones. They are air Powered and totally non-toxic!”
